Xiaomi has officially announced that its flagship Xiaomi 14 series will be launched on October 26, 2023. The announcement was made via a teaser poster posted on Xiaomi’s official Weibo account.
The teaser poster doesn’t reveal much about the Xiaomi 14 series, but it does show a silhouette of a smartphone with a curved display and a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. The poster also confirms that the Xiaomi 14 series will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
According to rumors, the Xiaomi 14 series will consist of two models – the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The Xiaomi 14 is expected to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to have a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Both models are also expected to have triple-lens rear camera systems, with the Xiaomi 14 Pro having a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. The Xiaomi 14 is expected to have a 48MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 8MP telephoto sensor.
Other rumored features of the Xiaomi 14 series include a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, a 50W wireless charging support, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to be priced starting at around $700 for the base model. The phones are expected to be available for purchase in China shortly after the launch, and they should make their way to global markets within a few months.
