Trick or treat! Pokémon Sleep is dishing up ghoulishly delightful Halloween fun during its Halloween 2023 — Double Candy Research event, running from Monday, October 30, 2023, at 4:00 a.m. to November 6, 2023, at 3:59 a.m. local time.
During this week-long event, you’ll be able to enjoy a variety of sweet treats, including:
- Double Candy for completing sleep research:Earn twice the usual number of candies for completing all of your sleep research during the event. This is a great way to power up your Pokémon and evolve them into new forms.
- Special missions with Handy Candies and other rewards:Complete special missions during the event to earn Handy Candies and other items. Handy Candies can be used to evolve your Pokémon, even if you don’t have enough of their regular candies.
- Pikachu wearing a Halloween hat:A shockingly cute Pikachu wearing a Halloween hat with a ghost badge will appear in your dreams during the event. Be sure to catch it!
- Increased chance to encounter Ghost-type Pokémon:There will be an increased chance to encounter Ghost-type Pokémon during the event, so be sure to get out there and catch them all!
In addition to these sweet treats, Pokémon Sleep is also offering special Halloween Bundles in the in-game shop. These bundles include a variety of items, such as Great Biscuits, Friend Incense, and Handy Candies.

Double Candy for completing sleep research
During the event, you’ll earn twice the usual number of candies for completing all of your sleep research. This is a great way to power up your Pokémon and evolve them into new forms.
For example, if you normally earn 10 candies for completing your sleep research, you’ll earn 20 candies during the event. This is a huge boost, so be sure to complete your sleep research every day!
Special missions with Handy Candies and other rewards
In addition to the double candy bonus, you’ll also be able to complete special missions during the event to earn Handy Candies and other items. Handy Candies can be used to evolve your Pokémon, even if you don’t have enough of their regular candies.
For example, one mission might require you to catch a certain number of Ghost-type Pokémon. Another mission might require you to sleep for a certain amount of time. Completing these missions will earn you Handy Candies and other rewards.
