OnePlus is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone globally today, October 19, 2023. The OnePlus Open has been jointly developed by OnePlus and its parent company, OPPO. While OPPO already has a presence in the foldable segment in India thanks to the launch of OPPO Find N2 Flip and N3 Flip in India earlier this year, this is the first book-style foldable coming to global markets from the house of BBK.

The OnePlus Open launch event will be held in Mumbai, India at 7:30 PM IST on October 19, 2023. The event will be live streamed on OnePlus India’s official YouTube channel.
OnePlus Open Expected Price and Specs
The OnePlus Open is expected to be priced at ₹1,19,999 in India. It is expected to feature a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the inside and a 6.18-inch cover display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
On the camera front, the OnePlus Open is expected to feature a triple-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP telephoto sensor. The phone is also rumored to have a 32MP selfie camera on the inside and a 16MP selfie camera on the outside.
Other expected specs of the OnePlus Open include a 4,600mAh battery with 65W fast charging support, Android 14 out of the box, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus Open: A Challenger to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
The OnePlus Open is expected to be a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, which is also rumored to launch later this year. Both phones are expected to have similar specs, but the OnePlus Open is expected to be priced lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

What to Expect from the OnePlus Open Launch Event

The OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to be a mid-range smartphone with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, and a triple-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 are expected to be a pair of premium wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation, Adaptive EQ, and wireless charging support.
