Vivo, the leading global smartphone manufacturer, is all set to launch its latest flagship series, the Vivo V29, in India on October 4. The series will include two models, the Vivo V29 and Vivo V29 Pro. The specifications of the vanilla model are known, as it has already launched in the global market. The V29 Pro, on the other hand, is said to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S17 Pro, which debuted in China earlier this year.
A new report by TheTechOutlook has leaked the key specifications of the Vivo V29 series through leaked internal documents.
Cinematic Cameras
The Vivo V29 series is rumored to feature some of the best cameras on a smartphone. Both models are said to have a 50-megapixel selfie camera with a 93-degree field-of-view and eye-autofocus support. The series will also be equipped with an Aura Light LED flash with color temperature support.
The Vivo V29 Pro’s rear camera setup will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS support and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait camera with 2x optical zoom. The Vivo V29, on the other hand, is expected to have a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Both models are also said to feature a new India-exclusive photography feature dubbed Wedding mode. This mode is designed to help users capture stunning photos and videos of their weddings and other special occasions.
Powerful Performance
The Vivo V29 series is also expected to be powered by some of the latest and most powerful processors. The Vivo V29 is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, while the Vivo V29 Pro is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor.
Both models are also expected to have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Fast Charging
The Vivo V29 series is also expected to have some of the fastest charging speeds on a smartphone. Both models are said to have a 4,600mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. This will be the fastest charging seen on a V-series phone.
The leaked documents state that it can charge up to 50 percent in just 18 minutes and achieve a full charge in 50 minutes.
Design
The Vivo V29 series is also expected to have a sleek and stylish design. Both models are rumored to have a curved AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The V29 Pro is also said to have a metal frame and a glass back.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo V29 series is expected to be priced starting at around Rs. 30,000 for the base variant of the Vivo V29 and Rs. 40,000 for the base variant of the Vivo V29 Pro.
The series is expected to go on sale in India on October 4.
