Samsung is gearing up to launch a new tablet, the Galaxy Tab A9, in India on October 5. The teaser image on Amazon India doesn’t explicitly mention the name of the device, but the URL of the page confirms that the brand will announce the Galaxy Tab A9 on that date.
The Galaxy Tab A9 was spotted in the database of the Google Play Console last week, revealing some of its key specifications. The listing revealed that the Tab A9, which has the SM-X115 model number, is equipped with a display (most likely an LCD panel) that offers a resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels. It is powered by the Helio G99 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab A9 will come preloaded with Android 13. The tablet is also said to come with support for 4G connectivity. The other details of Tab A9 are yet to be revealed. Apart from India, the tablet is expected to release in multiple markets, like the UAE and Thailand.
Rumors suggest a Plus model
Reports have also revealed the existence of another tablet dubbed the Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G, which will be a higher version of the Tab A9 and is expected to support 5G connectivity. Since the Plus edition has also received certification from India’s BIS authority, it appears that the tablet will also launch in the country. However, it is unclear whether it will also debut on October 5.
